This section gives readers a small amount of plain orientation to the institutional environment around the Review.

It is not a second publication, a dossier, a series, or a source text. These pages do not carry authors, originating journals, republication dates, or Review mastheads. They exist because a reader may need a short structural account before returning to the archive.

Editorial limit¶

The reference section should remain small. It explains structures a reader genuinely needs: the Confederation, member polities, interface law, credits, registry, insurance, arbitration, the mesh, standards, Guardianship, and Earth Union's place in the system.

It should not become an encyclopedia of every planet, ship, character, species, historical event, technology, or plot question. The archive supplies texture through selections; the reference pages supply scaffolding.
